It ran for single season only and had ten episodes only. The series made its debut on September 9, 2007 and the series finale hit our TV screens on November 11, 2007. It was created by Cynthia Mort and the season opener was filmed in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The center of Tell Me You Love Me were three couples namely Jamie and Hugo, Katie and David and Carolyn and Palek etc. All the couples were seen dealing with intimacy related troubles. Another important character of the series is May Foster, a therapist living with her partner Arthur. The couples turn to May Foster for their troubles who herself has relationship issues with her partner. So, it was Tell Me You Love Me all about.
Tell Me You Love Me was a TV show more like a documentary as the episodes of the series were filmed with the help of handheld cameras. The episodes of Tell Me You Love Me didn’t have any opening credits and title cards. None of the episodes had music score and soundtrack, except for one song.
Tell me You Love Me, a series which was originally conceived as Sex-life, was named as one of the Top 10 New TV series of 2007 by Time Magazine’s James Poniewozik. No doubts that Tell Me You Love Me had a distinct plot, it failed to attract people. The season opener attracted only 910,000 viewers. The figure was much less than the ratings received by other TV shows of the same network, the HBO Network.
