Tell Me You Love Me sex scenes were no-way real

If I ask you what Tell Me You Love Me is most famous for, you would definitely reply that the extremely realistic sex-scenes are what series is known for? But, hey buddies, those sex scenes were not real, actually those were just simulated ones. During the only one season long run of series, no particular comments ever come from the HBO Network, or the series representatives, and we fans kept on thinking that show was too much close to reality, and most of the scenes were bona fide.
But, actually we were wrong. Patricia Rozema, the director of the series, herself has admitted this. As per her words, the producers of the series had intentions to show real sex, in the episodes of Tell Me You Love Me , but it was not up to her standard. Her words were “Well, find another director; I don’t want to do that.” I wasn’t interested in that”. Imagine, what if she would have left, Tell Me You Love Me!
Not only Patricia, the actress Jane Alexander, who played the character of Dr. May Foster, on ‘Tell Me You Love Me’, has also confirmed that those sex scenes were not real ones. She reportedly said that the scenes, which we watched believing to be real ones, were not real. They’re very well acted actually. As per the lady, none of the unit members ever let them have any real sex and never had they thought to do so. She also added that filming those scenes was one of the toughest jobs she did on ‘Tell Me You Love Me’.
